Blessings BTW Community!
As it is in nature, so do changes come to BTW and we at Green Faerie Grove are always reflecting on BTW, ways it can be improved, taking feedback from the community into consideration and striving to make BTW grow. After some reflection and dialogue GFG decided to make an adjustment and we wanted to inform the community about a change to the Aspects of Queerness that are the focus of our event and core to our community.
The Grove has decided to swap out the aspect of “the Shaman” and instead go with the aspect of “the Mystic”. We try to be aware of culturally insensitive and/or appropriated terms and find a means to grow and evolve beyond that term while maintaining the core essence of the aspect that reflects our ever growing community and changing times.
We felt that the Mystic is an aspect that’s more in line with cultural awareness and also better reflective of our Queer Aspects. This, in some ways, continues the tradition of adapting and adjusting the original aspects laid out in Queer Spirit Warrior and making them truly an extension and reflection of the Between the Worlds Community.
