It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that Between the Worlds 2021 is canceled. Due to the rise of the Delta variant and other, more contagious and worrisome variants, along with hesitancy about vaccinations in some of our communities, Green Faerie Grove is not confident that we can have a safe event – even with the testing plan we recently put in place or going further and mandating vaccination.
Please understand that we trust you all. Our community is full of wonderful people that follow guidelines from the scientific community and take the pandemic seriously.
Unfortunately, it’s the virus that we don’t trust.
Both our medical coordinators and the Brotherhood of the Spectrum Blade have voiced their serious concerns over having the event this year. It is our duty to take those voices into consideration.
We will be providing a FULL refund for everyone who has registered to attend without any reduction for processing. If you have canceled already your refund will be adjusted to include our processing fee.
Moving forward, we will try to organize an online event of some kind, much like Virtual Between the Worlds from last year. More information on that will be coming out to you as soon as we have it.
We know that this is a hard thing to hear and we apologize for any issues this cancellation may cause for your plans regarding travel or work. This was not a decision taken lightly; it was made with the knowledge of our responsibility to our community and with your safety as the primary goal.
