We are really excited to announce our 2024 Keynote Speaker: Everett Green (He/Him, Pansexual, Poly, Transgender)
Everett resides in Dayton, OH with his beautiful wife and their seven children (5 dogs and 2 cats). He served four years in the United States Army as a 91B Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, serving his entire term in Hawaii and two overseas deployments. Currently, he is a full-time electrician, a licensed barber and the Wednesday night bartender at Argos Tavern & Patio in Dayton, OH.
When Everett’s not working, you can find him relaxing with his fur babies, enjoying a cocktail at the local watering hole, or his personal favorite – flogging his pups. Everett’s journey with the “Gay Leather” scene started three years ago; when he attended Argos for the very first time. That summer, Everett competed for the title of Mr. Argos Leather. He may not have won, but he gained a sense of comfort and desire; longing to learn more about the leather community.
Today, Everett promotes a leather event at Argos known as, “MOSH MADNESS”. An event he reserves for pups and handlers to escape and be themselves. There’s a ball pit, mosh/play area, cuddle puddle zone, tennis balls, chew toys, treats, water bowls, awoooo-woof!! He also promotes a, “BARNYARD BASH”, for the pigs, ponies and cows of the community. Of course, all pet-players are welcome at any event!
Everett has also been a long standing advocate for the trans/nonbinary community. Being trans, himself, Everett understands the importance of trans education. He has presented to students at Wright State University on topics such as Democracy and Cultural Humility; bringing to life his personal journey with the societal norms of today.
From Everett in response to “What makes you a warrior?”:
“I’ve been a warrior three times , all separate lives I’ve lived. First was during my time in the Army. Second was my time as a transgender person. Third was my current life as a gay man. All three lives are times I fought not only for myself, but for those going through something similar to my battles alongside me.”
We are looking forward to Everett’s presence, participation and Keynote presentation at Between the Worlds 2024: Year of the Warrior.
