10th Anniversary of the Labyrinth of the Ways

Hail and Blessings !

In September of 2016 the BTW community came together to build a 70 ft wide living labyrinth at Wisteria, our original home of 19 years, in celebration and to honor the 15th year of the Between the Worlds event.

2026 marks the 10th anniversary of the opening/dedication of the Labyrinth of the Ways. And even though BTW isn’t held at Wisteria, to  this day members of the BTW community gather to tend the Labyrinth and host various walks, processions and rituals throughout the year.

To celebrate this momentous anniversary GFG & The Nemeton of the Ways, who are the stewards of the Labyrinth, have plans to give the Queer Spirit Shrine, located at the back of the Labyrinth, a remodel. In addition to a few smaller projects.

Our 2026 goals:

  • Pull the Shrine up and elevate it a bit to make it easier to access/view.
  • Build up the Cairn with some new stone.
  • Clean and reseal the Rainbow shell that makes up the heart of the shrine.
  • Fresh stone on some of the upper walls that the earth has swallowed up
  • Clean and repair the Sacred Fire pit
  • New Shepherds Hooks & Lanterns (solar or tea light)
  • New Solar lights for the pathways

At Wisteria’s Summer Solstice Celebration, conveniently during Pride Month, we will be holding a Labyrinth Procession and during that Rev Lynx will hold space to bless & re-dedicate the Shrine.

Tending the Labyrinth is a community endeavor that requires the ongoing support and assistance from the Between the Worlds community, GFG members, Nemeton of the Ways and the folk of Wisteria. The Labyrinth is still maintained to this day because of the efforts of all these various communities that find a commonplace among the Ways of the Labyrinth.

It’s such a humbling moment when I hear a story about a healing or magical moment that someone experiences in the Ways of the Labyrinth. Our Labyrinth touches the life of so many folk that most of us will never meet, it heals in so many Ways we will never truly understand. Being part of the Labyrinth means that we are all part of something that is so unconceivably bigger than ourselves.

Now, the big question: How can you help?

Fortunately there’s all a few *ways* to help out ( see what i did there? Lol )

Thanks to everyone who has been part of this Journey, we look forward to celebrating our 10 years and evey step along the Ways.

Be good, walk well & be a blessing to each other.
